New London Junior Catcher Eve Hedtke put the Bulldogs up for Good Thursday night in the 6th Inning trailing 12-10 against the Phantoms of West De Pere in a Bay Conference game. New London wasted no time getting on the board scoring 4 Runs in the 1st and 3 Runs in the 2nd. The Phantoms still had some fight in them scoring 7 Runs in the 5th Inning to take a 12-8 lead into the 6th. Dreary and Soggy weather conditions likely impacted play for both teams both teams combined for 10 errors and 31 hits. Individually for The Reigning 3-time defending Bay Conference Champions New London was led by Eve Hedtke going 2 for 4 and 4 RBI, Senior Pitcher Kenna Mix also did well at the plate driving in 4 Runs including a 2 Run Home Run. Freshman Bristol Elsholtz and Ellie Winkelman also had 2 hits a piece including a Solo Home Run and 3 RBI for Elsholtz. Kenna Mix earned the win with 6.2 Innings Pitched Allowing 5 Runs 4 Earned, striking out 8 and Walking 3. For the Phantoms they were led by Ella Arendt’s 5 hits in 5 at bats. Lily Buckoske took the loss allowing 12 Hits 14 Runs, 10 Earned, striking out 6 and Walking 4.
