The Spartans rapped 18 hits to back the five-hit, seven-strikeout pitching of Lindsay Sandleback to improve to 4-0 on the season and in North Shore Conference play.
After giving up a run to open the game, the Spartans took the lead on a leadoff single by Mia Buske, a walk to Sandleback, a wild pitch and an RBI single by Paige Guse.
An RBI single by Ava Thelen and three-run double by Mackenzie Rolf fueled an six-run second inning for West.
Riley Weber led off the Spartans' third inning with an infield single and Buske walked ahead of a three-run rocket over the center field fence by Sandleback to open a 10-run frame. Breleigh Ustruck and Allie Estrada each drove in runs, Sandleback hit an RBI double and Guse singled home the final two runs.
Sandleback had four RBI, Guse drove in three and Buske and Ustruck drove in two each. Ustruck went 3-for-3 and Buske and Guse were both 3-for-4.
