The Bulldogs took the long trip to Medford on Tuesday to face the 1 Seeded Raiders and Number 1 Ranked team in Division 2. As expected, it was a toe to toe battle against one of the best pitchers in the state in Martha Miller and New London Ace Kenna Mix. Both teams would find the grass but would not get any runs across the plate. In the Bottom of the 6th Medford would push the 1st run across when Eryka Seidl doubled in in Ruthie Steinman. In the Top of the 7th New London down to their last strike with a runner on 3rd Brooklyn Fuerst hit a base hit down the 3rd baseline to drive in Eve Hedtke to tie the game at 1. Both teams would get runners on but unable to punch in anything until the Top of the 11th when Eve Hedtke singled to Centerfield with 2 outs driving in Olivia Hamel to take a 2-1 lead. Medford down to their last at bats in the bottom of the 11th would go down in order sending the Bulldogs to its 2nd straight Sectional Final and in program history going 10-0 in the Sectional Semi Final round. Kenna Mix earned the win going all 11 Innings allowing 1 Run Unearned, 5 Hits, Striking out 12 and Walking 1, Medford Ace Martha Miller went 11 Innings giving up 7 Hits 2 Runs, Striking out 13 and Walking 2. New London will face Rice Lake for a berth at state Thursday in Mosinee.
