The Brodhead softball team won a Regional Championship with a 5-0 victory over Columbus last night.
Alexis Kammerer had a big two out, 2 RBI hit in the first inning to spark the team. Sophia Leitzen had 2 hits, one of them a double, and 2 RBI. McKenna Young added a double and Allie Dahl had a hit.
Mckenna Young and Ava Risum combined in the circle to allow only one baserunner and struck out 16 Columbus batters.
The Cardinals now face Marshall in Brodhead on Tuesday at 5pm.
