"What a great opportunity for the girls. I am really proud of how we are finishing the season. We have been putting all phases of the game together near the end of the season. They played well all night from start to finish. What a blessing for the team to play to represent who we are as a team of young Christian ladies. I am super excited for them to win a regional.
Grace Cook threw a no hitter tonight to lead us and our defense made it stand up. Our outfielders had a couple great catches (2 by Reyna Rupnow in RF) and our infield was solid.
Offensively we got hits from eight different girls. Kendall Lemke hit the ball hard all night (3 RBI) and put a nice cap on the evening with a 2 run homerun to end the game in the bottom of the 6th. Jenna had a solid night getting on and pressing defense. Abby Meis, Chloe Berg and Kieghtan Rank all had clutch hits to plate runs. Dodgeland's pitcher gave us some trouble at times, but overall it was a solid offensive night," said Lakeside Head Coach Matt Doering.
