The Pumas won in three innings on the 15-run mercy rule. Holly Lowenberg struck out 7 of the 9 outs, allowing no hits and no walks.
At the plate the Pumas were led bysenior Laken Wagner who was 3x3, freshman Addison Mackey who went 2x3 with a double;senior Brooke Steinhorst who was 2x2 and got hit twice by pitches, Lowenberg, also a senior who went 2x3 with a double, sophomore Morgan Gunderson who was 2x3, sophomore Emma Gavinski who was 2x3 while sophomore Maggie Steinhorst was 1xw with a double.
The Pumas will now host Marshall on Thursday at Diamond of Champions.
