Germantown lost to Oak Creek 7-2 on Tuesday, ending their regular season at 16-8.
For the 3rd game in a row, Germantown jumped out to 1-0 lead in the top of the 1st. Maddy Balsiger (1-2, 2 R, 2 SB) singled with 1 out, and after stealing 2nd was driven home on a 2 out double by Kayla Preiss (2-3, 2B, RBI).
After falling behind 2-1 in the bottom of the 2nd, the Warhawks tied the game in the top of the 3rd. Balsiger walked with 2 outs, again stole 2nd and was driven in this time by Madison Werner (1-3, RBI). Emmy Coulter (1-3) had the only other hit for Germantown.
Sarah Nasif started in the circle and went 4 innings, giving up 3 ER with 2 strikeouts. Kendal Thomas (1.1 IP, 1 R, 0 ER, 3 H) and Alaina Williams (.2 IP, 0 R, BB) covered the final 2 innings.
Germantown will host Nicolet in the WIAA Regional Final on Thursday at 4:30pm.
