New London Clinches Bay Conference

Bulldogs riding a 34 Game Conference Winning Streak

For the 3rd year in a row and 2nd straight year the Bulldogs have went undefeated in the Bay Conference to claim the Conference Crown. The Conference was clinched on Thursday May 11th with a win over Xavier combined with a West De Pere win over Seymour to give the Bulldogs a 3 game lead with 2 games remaining. Co Head Coach Tony Porath has claimed his 9th conference championship while Co Head Coach Melinda Hull has claimed her 3rd with the program.

New London 4 Seymour 1

A young and promising Seymour squad showed some upbeat and was almost on their way to a victory against New London back in April however the Bulldogs would take the lead in the top of the 7th for a 6-5 Victory. Fast forward to the final conference game of the season where the upset minded Thunder were looking to end New London’s Conference winning streak at 33 and on New London’s home field. Aubrey Hartleben and Addi Wery reached base by hit early but would be left stranded at 2nd and 3rd. In the New London 1st Eve Hedtke drove in the 1st 2 runs with a double to center field scoring Shelby Glodowski and Sommer Krull. In the Bottom of the 3rd Inning Mackenzie Bruette would drive in Courtesy Runner Kiley Peterson to take a 3-0 lead. Seymour would tack a run on in the 4th inning when Brynn Vandenlangenberg drove in Ashley Kranning. New London would add on 1 more run in the bottom of the 6th where Jensen Mix Drove in Savannah Schaff. Kenna Mix was as outstanding as can be in the circle earning the win going all 7 innings allowing 1 unearned run, 5 hits and striking out 14. Gillian Heralla took the loss for Seymour going 6 innings, allowing 7 hits 4 Earned Runs and walking 2. New London will enter the 2024 season with a 34 game conference winning streak.

Pitching Duo combines for 5 Inning no hitter.

New London Pitchers Kenna Mix and Savannah Schaff combined for a 5 inning no hitter Monday with a 13-0 Victory over the Green Bay West/East Co Op. Kenna would work the 1st 2 innings Striking out 6, Savannah would work the final 3 striking out 5, walking 1 and hitting 1 batter. Both pitchers also combined for a no hitter in the 1st meeting with Green Bay West/East.
