Germantown lost to Menomonee Falls 6-3 on Friday, dropping their record to 14-5 overall and finishing GMC play at 13-3.
The Warhawks jumped in front 1-0 in the bottom of the 3rd. Emmy Coulter (1-3, 3B, 2 R) led off the inning with a walk, then Maddy Balsiger (2-4, HR, R, RBI) and Madison Werner (3-4, 2 RBI) bunted for hits to drive in Coulter. However, that lead was short-lived as the Falls scored 3 in each of the 4th and 5th innings. Balsiger lined a solo homer to left in the 5th – her 7th of the season – to cut the lead to 6-2, and Coulter led off the 7th with a triple and was plated by a Werner ground out to produce the final 6-3 result.
Germantown begins a week of non-conference action with a trip to Franklin on Monday.
