West Bend West 7, @ Cedarburg 4
The Spartans improved to 7-2 in North Shore Conference play (8-4 overall), shutting out the Bulldogs over the final three innings.
West jumped to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, fueled by Paige Guse's two-run double and an RBI single by Mackenzie Rolf.
After Cedarburg tied the game with a solo run in the first and two in the second, the Spartans tallied twice in the third to lead 5-3. Cedarburg pulled within one with a run in the fourth.
Mia Buske and Lindsay Sandleback had back-to-back doubles for a Spartan run in the sixth and Buske doubled home Eleanor Henschel in the seventh for insurance runs.
Buske was 3-for-3 with two walks from the leadoff spot, Sandleback was 3-for-5, Guse went 2-for-3 with two RBI and Rolf was 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Sandleback earned the complete-game victory, scattering seven hits and striking out six.
