Germantown beats Brookfield Central

Germantown rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to defeat Brookfield Central 15-3 in 5 innings.  The win raised their record to 5-2 overall and 4-1 in Greater Metro Conference play, staying tied at the top with Menomonee Falls.

After starting the frame down 3-1, the Warhawks scored 3 in the top of the 3rd to take the lead for good.  Kayla Preiss (3-3, 2 R, 3 RBI, 2 SB) lined a 2-out single to left to plate the go ahead run.  G-Town the exploded for 10 runs in the 4th, as Leah Heinz (2-3, 2B, HR, 2 R, 3 RBI) connected for her first home run of the season to plate the first two runs, and later in the inning lined an RBI double to right center to make the score 12-3.  Ally Pentek (2-3, R, RBI) and Taylor Wilson (2-2, 2B, R, RBI) also had multi-hit games.

Kylie Otto again shined in the circle, pitching 4 1/3 innings of 2 hit, scoreless relief.  The sophomore struck out 3 and walked none, raising her record to 2-0 on the season.

The Warhawks continue GMC action April 20 against West Allis Hale.
