Lakeside Lutheran fell behind 2-0 in the top of the first and countered with a three-run inning in the bottom half.

Lodi knotted the game in the top of the second and took a 4-3 lead in the fourth and with one more in the fifth led 5-3. The Warriors battled back with two runs in the bottom of the sixth to knot the game but saw the Blue Devils score a pair in the top of the seventh.

Down by two going to the bottom of the seventh the Warriors rallied, helped by a couple of errors and two walks. Lakeside scored three runs without a hit. Lodi failed to record a run in the crucial inning.

Lakeside's head Coach Matt Doering had these comments after the game. "This was a great win for the girls.  They never quit when we were down.  We were down three different times including going into the bottom of the 7th.  The girls kept their composure and stayed in the game to the last play.

Jenna Shadoski has another solid night at the plate.  She also had what looked to be a home run that would have given us the lead in the bottom of the 6th called a foul ball.

The girls just kept putting the ball in play and putting pressure on the defense.  I'm really proud of the entire group.

Kieghtan Rank and Grace Cook threw very well in stretches and did what we needed to get us out of a couple jams.  Kieghtan and the defense worked out of a jam in 4th and Grace did the same in the 6th. Lodi played well too.  Credit their tenacity and timely hitting."
