New London earned its 1st win of the young 2023 season Thursday with a 6-1 Bay Conference victory over the West De Pere Phantoms. Offensively for the Bulldogs Senior Sommer Krull hit a 3 run home run in the 2nd Inning to put the Bulldogs on the scoreboard. West De Pere’s lone run came in the 5th inning as Megan Burns scored on a Neveah Wagendorf Fielder’s Choice. The Bulldogs added 3 more runs in the 5th as Ava Baehman reached on an error by the Right Fielder Noelle Runke scoring Shelby Glodowski and Kenna Mix, The Final run came as Brooklyn Fuerst drove in Eve Hedtke. Kenna Mix Earned the win pitching 6 Innings scattering 7 Hits, Striking out 1 and Walking 3, Savannah Schaff Pitched the Final Inning allowing 1 hit. Neveah Wagendorf took the loss for the Phantoms splitting the pitching duties with Lily Buckoske.
