Shoreland softball won their first regional game 11-1 in 6 innings over Cedar Grove/Belgium Tuesday at Shoreland Lutheran. The Pacers scored on a 2 out rbi single in the first inning by Kaylee Ruiz to go up 1-0. Shoreland used a 5 run 4th, 2 run 5th and 3 run 6th to finish the scoring. Leading the Pacers were Kaylee Ruiz 2-4, 3 rbi, Haylee Dodd 2-5, 1 run, 3B, 4 rbi,Grace Olson 2-3, 2 runs, 3 SB, and Alyssa Pavlovich 1-2, 3 runs, 1 rbi.
In the circle, Erin Borchardt picked up her 12th win of the season going 6 innings, 1 hit, 1 BB, 0 ER and 9 strikeouts. She did not give up a hit until the last batter she faced in the 6th inning.
Shoreland is now 16-4 overall and faces Dodgeland-Hustiford on Thursday, at 4:30 in Somers. Cedar Grove-Belgium finishes the season at 4-8.
