Shoreland Lutheran softball moved to 15-4 overall on Friday night in an 8-3 victory over host Kenosha Tremper. The Pacers took advantage of 15 hits and 5 walks. Leading the way were Kaylee Ruiz 3-3, 2B, 1 RBI, Haylee Dodd 3-5, 1 run, 1 RBI, SB, Amanda Heusteberg 2-3, 2 runs, and Olivia Miller 2-3, 1 run.  The Pacers broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the 5th when Ruiz hit an rbi double to the centerfield fence that plated Camryn Mulligan. Shoreland added another run in the 5th. In the 6th, Haley Voss hit a 2 out rbi single that sent Camryn Mulligan home to make the score 7-3. The Pacers added another run in the 7th to top the scoring.

Camryn Mulligan went the distance allowing 3 ER, 13 hits and 2 walks while striking out 1. The Pacer defense managed to leave Tremper with 14 stranded base runners. Chloe Wamboldt and Mya West had 3 hits each and Finley Koziol added 2 hits to lead Tremper.

"Both pitchers had to struggle through adversity with some rain in the middle of the game. Our defense just continued to step up to get outs when we needed leaving the bases loaded at least twice. I love our energy right now and I am excited to see how far this team can go in the playoffs."

Shoreland hosts Cedar Grove-Belgium on Tuesday at 430.
