Lakeside scored a pair in the first and two more in the second to take a 4-0 lead then held off LCL with a shutout to get the non-conference win. It was a 14 hit attack.
The top five batters in the Lakeside order had 12 of the 14 hits as Jenna Shadoski went 2x4, Abby Meis was 3x5, Nora Statz was 3x4 with a double and the only extra base hit of the game, Chloe Berg was 3x4 and Kendall Lemke had one hit in betwen Statz and Berg.
The winning pitcher was Keightan Rank who piched five innings, allowing no runs on four hits. Grace Cook got the save. LCL was led at the plate by Margaret Johnson who singled twice.
Head Coach Matt Doering had this to say after the game, "Our Pitchers both threw well and we got good contact early from the top of the lineup to get a nice win.
