West Bend West 8, @ Beaver Dam 3
West Bend West rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh to back the three-hit pitching of Lindsay Sandleback for the victory over previously unbeaten Beaver Dam.
The Spartans struck for three runs to open the game on singles by Mia Buske and Sandleback and a towering home run off the bat of Ava Thelen.
Beaver Dam scored a run in the second and two on a home run in the sixth inning to tie the game.
Allie Estrada and Kelsey Corbett opened the Spartan seventh with singles. Avelina Wolfe reached on an error which scored Estrada for the go-ahead run. Jessie Reich reached on a bunt ahead of RBI singles by Buske and Sandleback. Paige Guse's two-out, two-strike single plated the final two runs and Sandleback slammed the door with a six-pitch seventh inning.
Sandleback needed just 77 pitches in the complete-game victory for West (7-5, 5-4 North Shore Conference).
