Cedarburg junior pitcher Paytn Monticelli broke the state record for most strikeouts in a single game when the Bulldogs nipped Menomonee Falls 2-1 in the 13 innings at the sectional semi-final in Cedarburg on June 21st.
The old record of 22 strikeouts was set in a 12-inning game by Chelsea Ewing in 2002 in a game against McFarland.
