Monday night, Campbellsport won their first conference championship since 2007.
The Cougars traveled to Waupun in a winner take all game for the ECC crown. Waupun scored a run in the first and third innings to take a 2-0 lead.
In the bottom of the 4th with one out, Kylie Zehren and Allysa Klahn would single, bringing up Lauren Heisdorf who crushed the 2nd pitch she saw over the left field fence to give the Cougars a 3-2 lead in what would be the final score.
Brooke Flitter went the distance in the circle, allowing 4 hits and striking out 11.
