Maddy Milesh smacked a home run to lead SPASH to an upset victory over highly ranked Green Bay Preble in Stevens Point today. The final score was 5-3.
The Panthers jumped out ot a 4-0 leadin the bottom of the fourth against Preble pitcher Ally Eden and added the fifth run in the second.
Preble battled back in the top of the third with three runs thus cutting the SPASH lead to just two at 5-3.
SPASH was led at the plate by junior Maddy Miklesh who went 2x3 with three rbi and five total bases. The Panthers made the most of five hits and a Preble error to get the win. Preble collected six hits off two SPASH chuckers, MMaren Sauvageau who pitched three innings and the winner, Zoe Fink who tossed the other four. Eden allowed five runs on five his and gave up four earned runs.
The loss dropped Preble to 21-1 while SPASH boosted its record to 14-8.
