Oshkosh West beats SPASH twice

Scores were 4-1 and 6-1

Oshkosh West has been cruising along under the radar most of the season but headed into a twinbill with Stevens Point today with a record of 11-3 with losses to Neenah 6-5 on May 4th, Hortonville 6-1 in May 11th and 5-0 to Kimberly on May 18th. 

Today they beat SPASH 4-1 in game 1 and 6-1 in game two. West scored one in the second during the first game and add a trio of runs in the fifth while holding SPASH to a single run in the bottom of the sevent. Leading hitters for West were Jodarski with a 3x3 game and Enel at 2x4 along with a 2x3 game from Hammen. Bauer and Jodarski both doubled for West.K. O'Neal went 2x3 with a triple for SPASH while A. O'Neal went 2x2. 

The winning pitcher was D.Duff who allowe4d nine hits, one earned run and struck out 5. The loser was Z.Fink who threw the first six innings, allowing four runs on nine hits, and struck out 2.

In game two West claimed a 6-1 win with two in the bottom of the first, on in the bottom of the second and three in the last of the fifth after SPASH had scored their only run in the fifth. West collected nine hits and was led by A. Curtis with a 2x4 game and B. Davis at 2x3. B. Kichedn adn Davis both doubled for West. SPASH had no batters with more hits among their four that they were limited to by B. Bougie who gave up one unearned run, four hits and fanned nine. The loser ws Maren Sauvageau who threw the first five innings allowing six runs, five earned on nine hits, walked three and struck out four. She was relieved by C. Schultz in the sixth and allowed no hits or runs. 

West upped its record to 13-2 while SPASH dropped to 10-8 on the season.
