The Fastpitch Chronicle had a couple sets of eyes in Mt. Horeb to watch the game between the Vikings and the Dodgers. The game was scoreless until the top of the 12th when Dodgeville got runners to first and third with no outs after the Vikings comitted two errors. Then with runners at second and third Audrey hit a single that plated both those runners. The Vikings had no answer in the bottom of the 12th.
Dodgers pitcher Annika Lord finished a complete-game shutout in the bottom of the inning to lift Dodgeville (17-2) over the host Vikings (10-4)
Lucy Dahlk struck out 19 in a three-hit, two-walk, complete-game effort for Mount Horeb. The Vikings got three hits from Gina Rhiner.
Both teams are ranked in their respetive divisions by the this website. Dodgeville will be posted as the #7 team in Division 3 while Mt. Horeb will be ranked 13th in Division 2.
Dodgeville is 6-1 in the SWL a half game behind River Valley while Mt. Horeb trails Division 1 ranked team, Beaver Dam in the Badger North by half a game.
