Lake Mills won big over Lodi 11-1 on Tuesday. The L-Cats talllied five runs in the third inning, scoring four of its runs on a grand slam by Belle Topel.. Taylor Roughen was the winning pitcher going innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits, striking out seven and walking zero. Freshman Ava Kleinfelt threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Candace Wipperfurth took the loss for Lodi. Wipperfurth went four and a third innings, allowing 11 runs on seven hits.
Lake Mills totaled seven hits while also reaching first on 13 walks. Tessa Kottwitz and Taylor Wolling each collected multiple hits for the L-Cats with two hits each. Had no errors defensively. The victory sets the stage for a battle for 1st place in the Capitol North against Poynette on Thursday.
