Iola-Scandinavia (6-3, 13-5) pounded out 18 hits enroute to a 14-4 win over Shiocton (4-5, 9-8) in a CWC - East game. The game was stopped in the sixth inning due to the ten-run rule.
Birthday gir,l Katie Cherek and Lizzie Jones each had three hits and drove in two runs for the Thunderbirds. Cherek had a double. Jaelyn Sivertson, Marin Hoyord, Alexa Christoph, Clara Koles, Taylor Kielblock and Makayla Much each had two hits. Sivertson, Christoph and Much each had two doubles. Hoyord and Koles also drove in two runs.
For the Chiefs, Autumn Taylor had two hits. Emily Korth, Brooklyn Kleiber and Sydney Ritchie each had a double.
T-Bird pitcher Lizzie Jones went the distance to earn the win. Jones allowed nine hits, one walk and had one strikeout.
