Lots of games to check scores from on this day

Put Me In Coach, I'm Ready to Play --- Today!
Hello Fastpitch Fans!

It was a great day for fastpitch in the state after a wet one yesterday. Many of yesterday's rain outs apparently will not be made up due the crazy shortened season we have been dealt. It is a shame as well because there were some interesting matchups for this early in a game schedule. There are some good matchups today as well though so I and other rankers will be watching those results closely.

Hang with us a bit on those rankings, the games today will affect them. We will be ranking a Top 20 in Division 1 and Top 15 in Divisions 2 through 5. There are more teams in Division 1 than the other Divisions to begin with. Those will be posted on Wednesday.

Watch this Video -- The only way this could be better is if the coach in the third base coaches box ultimately tells the umpires it was a dead ball. That would be the correct thing to do.

Baraboo survived in a 13-9 win over Reedsburg today in the Badger North. With the one out and the bases loaded in the 7th Caroline Lewison relieved Emma Crary for the Thunderbirds. Lewison struck out her first batter and coaxed a fly out to get out of the inning and the game. The Thunderbirds got the win in spite of giving up two home runs to Melissa Dietz and one to Ruby Olson. Dietz was 3x4. Those two accounted for 7 hits. Paige Lewison doubled for Baraboo.

Head Coach Steve Lyga watched as Cochrane/Fountain City beat Whitehall. It was the 250th win in Lyga's career.

Kenosha Indian Trail pitcher Morgan Fuhrer twirled a nifty five-inning no-hitter at cross town rival Tremper toda. She fanned 7.

That is it for tonight.

Have a great tomorrow.
Keep it Rising!

Bob
