Emily Meyer and Bri Luebke both sign

Two Oak Creek softball players will be taking their fastpitch skills to the next level in the fall of 2020. Outfielder Bri Luebke will be attending Viterbo University in LaCrosse while Emily Meyer will move on to Edgewood College in Madison.

Luebke has primarily played outfield at Oak Creek and is a two-year varsity player with her senior season in front of her. A lefty slapper, she has developed those skills throughout the past few years. "She puts a lot of stress on a defense,"said Oak Creek Head Coach Jeff Trask. "She does a great job of seeing what the defense will giver he and has shown a knack for putting the ball in play and where the defense is not playing."

She batted.307 as a sophomore and upped that average to .357 in her junior year.

Luebke is expected to help lead Oak Creek to a fifth straight Southeast Conference title in 2020.

Meyer batted. 422 in 2019 with and on base percentage of .516. Also an outfielder at Oak Creek she has always been willing to fill any role the team needs. "Emily is an excellent contact hitter," said Trask. "She rarely misses a day in the weight room and is a member of our 5:30 am crew."

Meyer will move on to Edgewood and play for new Head Coach Alli Taylor.
