International Softball Congress World Tournament begins tomorrow in Denmark, Wisconsin

The International Softball Congress Men's World Tournament will be staged at Circle Tap just a few miles west of Denmark, Wisconsin and at Memorial Park in Denmark beginning tomorrow, Saturday, August 10th through August 17th.

Thirty-nine club type teams will converge on the updated facilities at both venues and stage what has always been a grand spectacle of men's fastpitch softball. From the inaugural ISL (International Softball League) World Tournament to the now ISC World Tournament most of the greatest players in the world and many of the greatest players of the game have competed for the coveted ISC World Championship trophy.

I will be in attendance at the tournament and will be producing a daily printed publication called, "In and Around the Circle" at the ISC World Tournament. It will be great to see old friends, fellow members of the ISC Hall of Fame as well as the new rising starts of the game men's game. Players from around the world will be on hand for the event. They will provide some great memories and provide great entertainment for the fans both young and old.

In addition to the 39 teams of the ISC World Tournament, Circle Tap owner Darren Derricks has assembled a young men's tournament as well that began last night and will continue on at Circle tap through Friday with finals at Maribel on Saturday as he must yield control of his facility to the administrator of the ISC at midnight Friday.

On Thursday the ISC Masters will circle in and play through Saturday. About 16 or so Legends type teams will be on hand to play ball, tell stories of yesteryear and more.

I will be posting the daily Fastpitch Softball News Bulletins right here on this website as well along with pictures and links to other articles.
