West's Lacey Cruz and North's Sydney Supple locked horns in a pitching duel. Cruz allowed one earned run on five hits while striking out 10. Supple was touched for an earned run in the bottom of the sixth. She allowed three hits and fanned nine.
Supple scored from first base on a two-out error in the fourth and Sophie Averkamp's two-out single plated Brooke Ellestad in the top of the sixth for a 2-0 Spartan lead.
West answered in the bottom of the sixth on a one-out single by Leah Engstrom and an RBI double by Taylor Emory.
