Brooke Ellestad's grand-slam home run highlighted a 10-run first inning for the Spartans. The outburst was fueled by multiple Hortonville errors.
Courtney Day homered for the Spartans in the second inning and Libby Neveau lofted a two-run round-tripper in the third. North had eight hits in the game, including two each by Ellestad, Neveau and Emma Leib.
Syd Supple allowed one hit and fanned three over three innings and Ashley Borowitz worked the final two frames to combine for the shutout.
