Nothing screws up a great event more that having a team withdraw with just several days or even no days between the date of notification and date of event. I know because it happens to me yearly with the Poynette Fastpitch Jamboree.
For Chippewa Falls, this year might be a first but even if it is not they are in a precarious situation. Therefore this announcement is an important one for them. Without that 8th team some teams will only get two games and byes will be taking place.
They are seeking a team interested in playing some top notch teams and get three games in the same day.
