Waupun broke a scoreless game open with an 8-run third inning, capitalizing on four Berlin errors. Freshman third baseman Alissa Smoody led Berlin defensively, creating a catch-and-throw double play to end the fourth inning and throwing a Waupun runner out at home to end the second. Mercedes Eichstadt and Kristen Krentz had singles for Berlin, now 3-12. Natalie Ott allowed six hits and walked three in 4-plus innings. Erica Heunink hit her third home run of the season for Waupun, now 11-4 overall and in second place in the ECC.
