Sophie Averkamp's three-run homer got the Spartans off to a quick start in the first inning. North scored in every inning but the fifth, including a three-run fourth fueled by Courtney Day's two-out, two-run double. Day and Brie Gauthier each had two hits in the eight-hit effort by the Spartans.
Syndey Supple scattered four hits while striking out seven to notch the win in the circle.
