One, three, two, two and four were the runs scored by inning as Lakeside Lutheran downed Marshall 12-1 on Friday in a Capitol Conference North vs South school contest.
Cross-over games between North and South Divisions in the Capitol Conference no longer count as conference games. As a matter of fact the teams are not even required to play each other.
Lakeside pitcher Kylee Gnabasik pitched all five innings allowing four hits,walked none and struck out 3 en route to gaining the victory. Leading hitters for Lakeside were Gnabasik (3x4), Olivuia Krieser (3x4), Grace Thomas (3x4), McKenna Lamp 2x3, and Kendra Blake (2x2). The Warriors banged out 16 hits in all.
