OW dropped their second conference game in a row to Hortonville Thursday night 9 to 4 to fall to 4 and 4 in the FVA conference.

Hortonville struck first in the top of the third inning when Maggie Werner, who walked earlier, scored on an RBI single by Emily Nelson.

OW took the lead in the bottom of the third inning thanks to RBI singles by Taylor Emory and Emily Miller.

OW stretched it lead to two runs in the bottom of the fourth when Lacey Cruz reached on a single.  Courtesy runner, Olivia Torres was able to reach third on a past ball and a Hortonville throwing error.  Torres scored on an RBI fielders choice by Alyssa Ebel.

Hortonville scored two in the in the top of the fifth to tie the game.  Maggie Warner and Taylor Lebeck started the inning with back to back singles.  Both scored on a 2 RBI double by Laken Schmidt.

OW answered with one more run in the bottom of the fifth when Leah Engstrom reached on a single and later scored on an RBI single by Emily Miller.

Hortonville's Taylor Lebeck was able to end the scoring for OW when she came in relief to finish the fifth inning and complete the game.

Hortonville took the lead for good by scoring four in the fifth inning thanks to a 2 RBI double by Emily Cliver, and two more insurance runs in the sixth off a 2 RBI double by Maggie Werner.
