Westosha Central used timely hitting and solid pitching to defeat Badger 10-0 in 5 innings. Ellie Christeson earned the complete game victory, allowing 2 hits and striking out three. "Ellie was around the zone all day and used great location and movement to stay ahead of their hitter." (co-head coach Tom Lampe) The Falcons opened the scoring in the first inning. Becca Edwards reached on a hit by pitch, reached second on a single by Olivia Nahorniak and scored when Olivia Kazumura doubled. Nahorniak scored on a sacrifice fly by Jill Adams and an error plated Kazumura. In the 3rd inning the Falcons scored two runs when a hard line drive by Janell Gillmore was misplayed scoring Kazumura and Carlie Odejewski. Four more runs in the 4th extended the lead. Abbey Jones led off with a triple and scored on an Edwards double. Jill Adams double plated another and " (co-head coach Tom Lampe) With the win the Falcons improve to 5-3 in the SLC and 7-5 overall. They return to action tomorrow when they host Elkhorn at 4:30.
