Westosha Central salvaged the final game with a dominant performance by Olivia Kazumura to go 1-2 at the Western Kenosha County Invite.  Kazumura used a 19 strike out performance to no-hit Kenosha Tremper 7-0 in the third game of the day.  The Falcons used a three-hit, three RBI performance to lead the 10-hit attack.  The Falcons opened the scoring in the 2nd.  Singles by Witt and her sister Megan Witt put the first two on.  Molly Grabarec's fielder's choice score Ellie Witt.  Megan Witt scored on batter later on a passed ball.  Central added a run in the 4th when Witt singled again and scored on another Grabarec fielder's choice.  In the 5th Witt plated Ellie Christeson and Dana Herman with a double to right center.  The Falcons scored their final run in the 7th.  The other star of the game was Kazumura.  She only gave up two hit batters but dominated in the circle.  "Her control was phenomenal.  That was a real shot in the arm." (co-head coach Tom Lampe).  In the earlier games, the Falcons dropped a heartbreaker to Carmel Catholic 5-4 in game one.  Kazumura and Kenna Beth led the offense with two hits each.  Becca Edwards took the loss but it was Falcons' miscues that were their undoing.  In game two the Falcons committed an uncharacteristic seven errors to allow Zion-Benton a 17-6, 5 inning victory.  Ellie Christeson took the loss.  Again it was Ellie Witt that led the offense with three hits and three RBIs.  But the errors proved too much to overcome.  "We made some young player mistakes in the first two games.  Sooner or later you can't get away with that.  We will learn from this and tighten it up." (co-head coach Tom Lampe)  The Falcons ended the day 6-4 overall.  They will return to action on Tuesday when the travel to Elkhorn to face the 1st Place Elks in a SLC game.
