Poynette's junior pitcher Casey Fountain tossed a five-inning three hitter at North Fond du Lac and went 3x4 at the plate with a double and three rbi. In the circle she held off the Orioles on three hits, two by shortstop Jordyn Stettbacher (doubled as well). Fountain walked none and fanned 11.
The Pumas also saw junior catcher Zoie Ramberg go 2x2 with a double while Lucy Cuff doubled and senior third sacker Ashley Hellenbrand was hit twice and had a bases clearing, three run triple in the first inning. The Pumas collected 11 hits to go along with seven walks and the two times Hellenbrand was tagged with a pitch.
Poynette moved to 12-0 on the season and will take on once-beaten Lakeside Lutheran in Capitol North action on Thursday at Diamond of Champions in Poynette.
