In the Championship Game of the Monroe Tournament the Cheesemakers took on Orangeville (IL), ranked 8th Class 1 in Illinois. Monroe struck 1st in the bottom of the opening inning with run scored on 2 consecutive errors and then an RBI single by sophomore Sydney Updike. After a Homerun by Tessa Janeke of Orangeville cut the lead to one in the 3rd, Monroe’s Sloane Ambrose pushed across an RBI groundout to make it 3-1. In the bottom of the 5th the Cheese added an important insurance run on senior Hailey Betthauser’s 3rd homerun of the tournament. Monroe would give up one more run in the 5th to make the final score 4-2. The 5th ranked Cheesemaker's improve to 8-2 on the season and Orangeville falls to 13-3.
Olivia Bobak picked up the win the championship game striking out 11 and walking 2. For the tournament Bobak struck out 36, walked 3 and only gave up 2 runs in the 3 games.
