Westosha Central overcame a slow start to defeat Delavan Darien 15-4 in a Southern Lakes contest.  After one inning the Falcons were trailing the Comets 3-1.  Jill Adams doubled in Ellie Christeson with the first run.  But a double by Sydney Anderson plated Jasmin Speth and Diamond Garcia in the bottom of the frame.  Anderson scored on a ground out by Savannah Wolf.  The Falcons added another in the 2nd inning.  Ellie Witt led off with a double and scored when Molly Grabarec  reached base on a single and advanced on a throwing error.  In the 3rd inning the Falcons exploded for 9 runs.  Becca Edwards reached on an error and scored on Olivia Kazumura's double.  A wild pitch gave the Falcons the lead.  After some Comet miscues, Carlie Odejewski doubled to score Olivia Nahorniak.  Another Kazumura double cleared the bases and the Falcons had an 8 run lead.  Abbey Jones added a double to score two in the 4th inning and the Falcons were able to score two more runs in the 5th.  Olivia Kazumura earned the victory pitching three innings, allowing three runs on one hit.  Ellie Christeson pitched the final two innings to close out the game.  "We had a solid game at the plate.  We did a good job of adjusting and put constant pressure on their defense.  We need to keep this type of approach moving forward."  (co-head coach Tom Lampe)  With the win the Falcons improve to 3-2 in the SLC and 4-2 overall.  They host Union Grove this Thursday at 4:30.
