Poynette pitcher Casey Fountain picked up another win today as the Pumas beat Columbus on its home field. The junior pitcher scattered six hits and fanned 12 while walking none.
The Pumas scored three in the second, three in the third and three in the seventh in topping the Cardinals. Junior Zoie Ramberg went 3x3 at the plate while juniors Fountain, Lucy Cuff, Molly Anderson and Brianna Kowald all had at least two hits.
The Cardinals saw catcher Boettcher go 3x3 against Fountain. The loser was Armatoski who struck out four and walked just one.
The Pumas play at Marshall on Thursday barring inclement weather.
