A great honor for a great guy!

Current WFSCA Executive Director Greg Lampe was recently honored by the Oak Creek school district by dedicating and naming the varsity playing field at the school after him.

"I was truly humbled and honored by this gesture and had an awesome turnout of past players and coaches which I share with all of them," said Greg.

In 2004 Greg retired from coaching softball at Oak Creek. His teams won 280 games during his career, won nine conference championships and earned a state tournament berth in Division 1 five times.

After retiring Greg remained on the Executive Board of the WFSCA, taking over the awards portion of the organization. Last fall he was named the Executive Director in charge of the every day operation of the coaches association.
