Collected 17 hits

Wilmot scored early and often in a Southern Lakes Conference showdown to defeat Westosha Central 12-3 in Paddock Lake. Sarah Hutchinson earned the win surrendering 3 runs on 8 hits. The Panthers roughed up Alyssa Hrncar for her 1st conference loss of the season. Wilmot belted out 17 hits including six extra base hits along the way. Wilmot plated three runs before the Falcons had a chance to bat. Singles by Taylor Danielson and Riley Regnier along with a double by Hutchinson scored the runs. They added three more in the 2nd inning on singles by Hayli Richards and Montana Platts, followed by Danielson triple. Central responded in their half of the second. With Kira Mickelson on second, Andrea Edquist hit a home run to left field. But the momentum was short lived. The Panthers scored again in the 3rd when Haley Lamberson singled in Annalise Devall and again in the 4th on RBI singles by Regnier and Duvall. Regnier hit a two run homer in the 6th to extend the lead. "Not much you can say about that one except they really hit the ball tonight. Sometimes that's just how it goes. What really hurt was the two out hits they were getting. Those are really killers for any defense. We hit the ball solidly tonight but they were positioned very well and nothing really seemed to fall for us. We will move forward from this and be ready the next time we see each other." (co-head coach Tom Lampe) With the loss the Falcons drop to 17-3 on the season and 12-1 in the Southern Lakes Conference. They still lead the Panthers by 1.5 games. "We still have control of the conference. All we need to do is settle in and play our style of game." (co-head coach Tom Lampe) The Falcons return to action this Saturday when they face Rice Lake in the first game of the Chippewa Falls Tournament.
