South jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st inning and never looked back to cruise to the FRCC road win.

Kourtney Mangan was the story of the night, going 2-3, with 2 Home Runs, 3 Runs scored, 3RBI and getting the win on the mound.

South scored 3 runs in the top of the 1st inning. The Redwings added another run in the top of the 3rd on Kourtney Mangan's solo home run to extend the lead to 4-0, until North added a run of their own in the bottom of the 4th.

Alyssa Frey relieved Mangan in the 5th inning and pitched 3 scoreless innings with 6 strikeouts to keep North at Bay to close out the win.

Mangan hit her 2nd home run of the game in the 6th inning to make it 6-1. Ashley Weimann singled, then scored on a stolen base at 3rd on an errant throw to complete the scoring.

"It was a true team win." from Coach Weimann. "We made countless great defensive plays, and executed when we needed to on offense. It's always tough getting a road win in the FRCC, let alone a rivalry game, so we'll take it."

South improves to 6-6 Overall (4-5 FRCC). North drops to 2-5 Overall (2-5 FRCC)
