Mackenzie Dane fired a no-hitter in Chequamegon's 7-1 victory over the Rib Lake High School softball team on Thursday, April 13, at the Park Falls Athletic Complex. She struck out 11 and walked three.
Brooklyn Hanson drilled a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Hannah Borne had an RBI double in the third. Dane and Remi Orr had RBI singles in the first inning, Josi Orr hit a run-scoring single in the second and Ally Derr drove in a run with an infield ground out. Borne and Hanson had two hits each for the Screaming Eagles, who improved to 4-1 on the season and 2-0 in Marawood North Conference play.
