Luxemburg-Casco 10 Sturgeon Bay 5
In Regional Semi-Final action Luxemburg-Casco defeated St. Bay 10-5. LC scored three runs in both the second and third innings to build a 6-0 lead. In the run scoring innings for LC Taylor Cravillion and Jenna Jorgensen had triples and Madysen Thayse a double to help the Spartans plate the six runs. St. Bay cut the deficit to 6-2 in the fourth powered by Marissa Ehlers' RBI single and Haley Benesh's RBI double. Luxemburg-Casco answered in the fifth powered by Madysen Thayse's lead-off hit and Cravillion's RBI triple, her second of the game. Sturgeon Bay's final three runs scored on a Marissa Ehlers' three run home run.
Winning pitcher Emily Schiltz threw a seven hitter in earning the victory. Haley Benesh took the loss. With the win Luxemburg-Casco advances to Friday's Regional Championship versus the winner of the Pestigo at Shawano game which was cancelled due to weather and is rescheduled for tomorrow.
