Racine Lutheran by inning: 1 in 2nd
Union Grove jumped out to a big lead in the 1st as they batted around and plated 6 runs on 2 walks, 2 doubles, 3 singles and Emily Knights 2nd homer of the season which was absolutely crushed.  The Broncos continued to smack the ball around and were able to get some underclassmen some valuable experience in route to the 4 inning run-rule victory.  Leading hitters in the game were Claire Ryan 3-3 with 3 runs scored, 2 RBI's and 2 doubles, Alyssa McClelland who went 2-4 with 2 doubles, and 2 RBI's, Emily Knight who went 2-2 with 4 RBI's and a homerun, and Sam Carey who went 2-3 with 3 RBI's and double.  In the circle, Brooklyn Ottelien got her 2nd career start as she gave up 2 hits, 1 ER, 2 BB's, and 6 k's in 4 innings of work.

Game 2:
Union Grove 13 R, 13 H, 0 E
Burlington 3 R, 2 H, 0 E
UG by inning: 1 in the 1st, 2 in 3rd, 1 in 4th, 3 in 5th, 3 in 6th, 3 in 7th
BHS by inning: 1 in 1st, 1 in 4th, 1 in 6th
Union Grove got a leadoff walk from Kallista Hribar, a stolen base and an RBI double from Brittany Moore to plate a run in 2 batters, but couldn't manage to plate anymore due to some good defense from BHS.  Burlington would then use a leadoff HBP and three straight PB to plate their first run before Union Grove would get themselves composed and get themselves out of the inning.  In the third the Broncos would use a leadoff walk and an absolute bomb off the bat of Kallista Hribar for her second homerun to plate two.  The fourth would see the Broncos manufacture another run and Burlington plate a run on a one out triple by Josie Klein and suicide squeeze to make the score 4-2.  From there, Broncos used some hit by pitches, a couple walks, and bunch of triples to plate 9 runs over the next three frames to take the 13-3 win.  Leading hitters in the game were Brittany Moore who went 4-5 with 5 RBI's and could have hit for the cycle had she not been held up at third to reduce any risk of collision at the plate but in all fairness her first triple of the game would have cleared any regulation fence a couple of times over so....  Other hitters Kallista Hribar who was 2-2 with 5 Runs, 4RBI's, a homerun and a triple and Brooklyn Ottelien who was 2-3 with a triple.  Moore got the start and complete game and gave up 2 hits, 3 Runs, 2 earned while walking 2 and striking out 14.

Game 3:
Waterford 2 R, 3 H, 0 E
Union Grove 8 R, 8 H, 0 E
Waterford by inning: 1 in 1st, 1 in 4th
Union Grove by inning: 1 in 1st, 2 in 3rd, 5 in 4th
Waterford got the scoring started on the day as a leadoff single and passed ball put a runner on second who was able to score on an RBI single up the middle.  Union Grove would come right back in their half as they got a one out single and stolen base from Moore, she was moved to third on a sac fly and plated off the bat of McClelland who singled to center.  In the third, the Broncos used a leadoff single from Sam Carey and back to back 2 out triples from Ryan and McClelland to plate two more.  In the 4th, the Wolverines got a pair of walks sandwiched around a strikeout followed by a single to score another run to bring the score to 3-2 but then Trudeau would slam the door striking out the next two batters.  In the Broncos half, use three walks, a couple of singles, and a triple to plate 5 before recording an out when the game was called due to the weather.  Leading hitters in the game were Moore who went 2-3 with a run and an RBI, and McClelland who 2-2 with 2 RBI's and a triple.  Trudeau picked up the win tossing 4, walking 2 and striking out 10 while giving up 1 ER while battling the weather.

For the day, Moore was 8-9 with 4 runs, 7 RBI's, 2 doubles, and 2 triples.  McClelland was 6-9 with a triple and 2 doubles.  Ryan went 4-6 with 4 RBIs, 4 Runs, 2 doubles and a triple.

The Broncos tallied 37 runs on 37 hits in the three games and gave up 6 runs on 7 hits while striking out 30 in 15 innings of work.

Coach Boylen added this about the day.  "Our pitchers did an excellent job of battling the elements and using what they had working for them to overcome the elements and provide their teammates with a quality effort. Our batters did an excellent job of adjusting to the lack of a regulation fence and hitting it on the ground and taking extra bases when teams played deep on us and then hitting it over their heads when they crept up.  In all it was a good day and good learning experience for our young ladies."
