Lakeside Lutheran recorded a 10-4 win over Belleville today in a Capitol Conference cross-over game. The game was played in Lake Mills.

T he Warriorrs jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and added three more in the second. A run in the fourth and three in the fifth would have been all the runs pitcher Hollie Doyle would have needed but the Warriors tacked on three in the fifth and two more in the sixth en route to the win.

Lakeside recorded 10 hits while Belleville touched Doyle for nine but couldn't muster enough runs to pressure the Warriors.

Kelsey Birschbach went 3x4 at the plate for the winners while Winter Petry was 2x4 and Megan Rowaldt was 2x3 with a double. Doyle tripled adn so did Ashley Kohls of Lakeside. 

The Warriors will travel to Brodhead on Tuesday for a first round game in the half-sectional. Belleville will tangle with Pardeeville on Tuesday.

Belleville got two his from four different players as Kowalski was 2x4, Hanna was 2x4, O'Rourke was 2x4 adn Heller was 2x3 with a double.
