LaCrosse Logan's Jordyn Kleman and Portage's Alli Walker hooked up today in a game between two pitchers throwing in the low to mid 60s. Kleman in the end with just one walk and 12 ks got the better of Walker who fanned 11 but issued 7 base on balls. Logan scored the first run as the result of a base on balls to the #7 Logan batter and a sacrifice bunt where the Warriors failed to cover third allowing the runner to get to third where she then scored on a passed ball. Later in the game the exact scenario played out with a runner at one, a sacrifice bunt and another runner who made it to third on the failure to cover the brick at three.

In Portage's first game of the day the Warriors beat Lodi 9-1 by scoring three in the first and three in the second to take command. Freshman Megan Witt picked up the win in the circle as the young lefty allowed three hits, fanned 11 and walked two.
