Hi Daughter is the winning pitcher

Once Tom Drohner took control of the Stevens Point Area Senior High School Softball team the team returned to the dominance they owned in the early years of WIAA sponsored high school softball.

In less than 19 years Drohner's Panther teams have now won 400 games. That 400th win came today at the hands of a very good Hortonville team, 403 in eight innings. For Drohner the wins are always sweet but #400 was additionally tasty as his daughter Aubrey picked up the win in the circle, pitching all eight innings.

400 wins in less than 19 full seasons translates to a lot of 20-win seasons. Along the way Drohner has led the Panthers to seven state championships including four in a row from 2001-2004. SPASH added titles in 2008, 2009 and last one it in 2011. The Panther have also owned the Wisconsin Valley Conference title in that time span, winning 15 times.

SPASH seldom beats themselves and has throughout the years had excellent chuckers in the pitching circle.

Congratulations to Tom Drohner on his 400th win. A Fastpitch Chronicle award certificate has been sent his way.
