Capitol Area Fall Fastpitch League Organization is Underway

Twenty Five Teams took part in 2013

The 15th Annual Capitol Area Fall League has begun organization. The first notification was sent out to the team contact personnel from the 2013 season earlier today (July 21st). 

The league is looking to expand it's breadth in 2014 and is looking to bring in more teams and will open the league up to traveling teams. 

For an idea of how things work in the league just go to the Youth and Club tab on the is website and click on Fall League information or contact Bob at The Fastpitch Chronicle. 

Here is a list of the 25 teams that took part last year.

Baraboo/Reedsburg, Poynette Black, Poynette Orange, Barneveld/Monroe, Beaver Dam, Columbus, DeForest, Fort Atkinson, Janesville East, Janesville West, Madison East, Marshall, Middleton Cardinal, Middleton White, Milton, Mt. Horeb, Oregon,Orfordville/Evansville, Platteville, Sauk Prairie, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, Verona Black, Verona Orange, Waunakee,

In 2013 games were played in Janesville, Oregon, Windsor, Platteville, Sauk City, Beaver Dam and Middleton. There will; be games played in Poynette this fall on the newly rennovated fields there.

Games are played on Sunday mornings with each team playing two one-hour and twenty minute games with a ten minute break in between. The first game begins at 9 and the second one at 10:30. Everyone is headed home by noon (Packer games ya know).

The league will either be six or seven weeks in length.

Also, Poynette is considering the possibility of starting a fall fastpitch event for teams and players looking to showcase their skills and talents in front of collegiate coaches etc. Keep watching this site for further developments in that regard.
